TDK was founded in Tokyo, Japan in 1935, the name coming from Tokyo Denki Kagaku, the original name of the Japanese company. TDK is mainly known for it’s blank cassette tapes but they also produced some nice, modern boomboxes from 2011 thru 2015. I personally own the Life on Record 2-woofer boombox and can attest to it’s quality. TDK boomboxes were distributed by Imation Enterprises Corp.
