Pioneer Corporation is an electronics company founded in Tokyo, Japan by Nozomu Matsumoto in 1938 originally under the name Fukuin Shokai Denki Seisakusho. In 1961, they changed their name to Pioneer Electronic Corporation. Pioneer played a major role in introducing many electronics advancements like the world’s first separate stereo system, car stereo components, the Laserdisc player, first car cd player, first DVD recorder and much more. They also made some nice boomboxes, many models listed below.
